State reduces COVID-19 death count by 3

Here are the latest COVID-19 numbers from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. As of 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, there have been 797,782 cases with 8,943 deaths reported statewide. There were 3,949 new cases reported since June 8. The number of deaths reported decreased by three from the previous week.

Here are the number of new cases reported for area counties for the seven-day period ending June 15:

• Pawnee +5

• Rice +10

• Rush +2

• Russell +3

• Stafford +1
