The operator of a motorcycle was transported to the Rice County Hospital with possible injuries on Tuesday after colliding with a car in Rice County. Kansas Highway Patrol reports the collision occurred at 3:25 p.m. on Nov. 11 at the intersection of Taylor St. and Grand Ave. in Lyons. A 2014 Harley-Davidson Tri Glide motorcycle driven by Lane Tilton, 66, of Sterling, was southbound on Grand Ave. Adelina Tobisch, 16, of Lyons, was northbound on Grand Ave. in a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier and made a westbound turn onto Taylor St. The motorcycle impacted the right side of the car.
Tobisch was not injured. She was wearing a seat belt.
Tilton was taken to the hospital after complaining of pain. He was not wearing a helmet. The motorcycle was removed by Lyons Wrecker Service.
