Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service made five ambulance runs Monday.

They were called to check on a fire but it turned out to be an authorized burn for which the landowner had a permit.

A possible structure fire reported at 2:21 a.m. Tuesday at Fuller Industries, 15 SW 40 Ave., was a false alarm.


Great Bend Police

Theft/damaged property was reported Monday at 2540 16th St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:20 a.m. at Broadway and McKinley.

A Drug Recognition Expert was dispatched to East U.S. 56 and NE 156 at 9:56 a.m. and a case was taken.

An injury accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian was reported at 3:13 p.m. at Great Bend High School, 2027 Morton St.

During a traffic stop at 4:57 p.m. in the 1000 block of Adams St., K-9 Menta was deployed and Layton Brown was arrested for possession of meth and criminal use of a firearm.

Criminal trespassing was reported at 7:08 p.m. at Walmart and Isiah Hillgren was arrested.

A non-injury crash was reported at 6:47 a.m. Tuesday at Forest and Jefferson.


Barton County Sheriff

A theft was reported Monday at 59 Karen St., Great Bend.

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:40 p.m. in the 1000 block of NW 10 Ave., Hoisington.
