Harold Dallas “Bud” Wolfe

Harold Dallas “Bud” Wolfe, 86, passed away Aug. 11, 2022, at the University of Kansas Health System - Great Bend Campus. He was born on Nov. 20, 1935, at Lorraine, to Harold and Thelma (Reed) Wolfe. He met the love of his life Lois Marie Bowman in the spring of 1965 on a blind date. On July 4th, 1965, Bud asked Lois to marry him and on Nov. 20, 1965, they were married in Galesburg, Kan.

A longtime Great Bend resident, Bud worked in the oilfield for many years and loved to talk about it. He also worked in the gym at Barton Community College and for the City of Great Bend until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and loved his church family. Bud especially loved to spend time with his family.   

Survivors include, his wife, Lois Wolfe of the home; two children, Tina Curran (Tom) and Tim Wolfe all of Great Bend; four grandchildren, Rosie Berger (Dagan), Kyrie Bair (Mal), Logan Wolfe and Lakin Pafford; three great grandchildren; and a very special cousin, Patti Wolfe Bailey (Vernon). He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Richard Wolfe; and a sister, Shirley Ewald. 

Visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 15, 2022 at Bryant Funeral Home, with family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022, at First Church of the Nazarene in Great Bend, with Pastor Josh Foster presiding. Interment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery. Memorials have been designated to First Church of the Nazarene or BCC Athletic Department, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
