HOISINGTON 63, SW HEIGHTS 6

HOISINGTON – Tony Moore celebrated like a Homecoming King with two rushing scores and two passing touchdowns to spark a 63-6 2A District rout over Southwestern Heights.

Moore rushed for 71 yards and scored on a 45-yard run and later a 17 yard run.. He completed a 1-yard scoring strike to Jason Robinson and a 24-yard touchdown pass to Carson Mason. The Cardinals rushed for 375 yards.

Mason Alderdice set up a touchdown by recovering a kickoff. Carson Mason’s interception and return set up a 1-yard scoring drive.

Kyler Dean Russell rushed for 136 yards and  scored on 30- and 61-yard scoring dashes. Taylen Morales rushed for 95 yards and scored on 3- and 55-yard runs. Logan Cossel added a 1-yard touchdown for the dominant Cardinals (4-0, 1-0 District), who have won 21 consecutive District football games.
