The law firm of Watkins Calcara Chtd., in Great Bend, announced that Spencer K. Bailly has become a shareholder “partner” in the firm.  

A native of Wichita, Bailly earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Bethel College in North Newton before attending Washburn University School of Law in Topeka. After law school, he moved to Great Bend with his wife and began practicing law. After a brief time handling criminal defense and domestic law cases, Bailly began work at the Barton County Attorney’s Office as an Assistant County Attorney in 2021, actively prosecuting cases in the courtroom. He joined Watkins Calcara in 2023 and began a private civil litigation practice, including municipal and civil rights cases, employment disputes, and personal injury. 

When not working, Spencer’s time is spent with his wife Molly and young daughter Ava at their home in Great Bend. He enjoys reading and is always looking for an exciting story to dive into. He also loves cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and playing golf when he can find the time.
