Wheatland Electric Cooperative, Inc. is inviting the local community to our Power Play – an evening of food, fun and festivities – with the Great Bend Bat Cats at Al Burns Memorial Field on June 10. 

Wheatland will be grilling free hamburgers and hot dogs for the first 200 attendees, first-come first-served, beginning at 6 p.m. Dollar beer will also be available. 

Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and admission is free. The Bat Cats will be playing host to the non-league Junction City Brigade during this home game. 

The Bat Cats are playing this summer as part of the Jayhawk Collegiate League, a not for profit 501(c)3 summer collegiate baseball league formed in 1976. The league is made up of seven independently owned teams in south central Kansas playing in Derby, Great Bend, Haysville, Hutchinson, Augusta, Kingman, and Newton.
