COURTESY PHOTO The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will again host the “Crèche Nativity Experience.” This photo is from the first “Experience” in 2024. This year’s event will also include live manger animals.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints invites the public to start this Christmas season off right, with a spiritually uplifting Crèche Nativity Experience. There will be Nativity scenes displayed, refreshments and activities for the entire family on two evenings in December.

Church member Lisa Lewis said this year’s event will be even bigger than the first one in 2024. Guests can view hundreds of Nativity sets and artwork from around the world that depict that Holy Night. A new addition this year, guests can also visit the live manger animals.

There will be activities for the whole family at this free event, including live musical performances from community choirs and individuals, a children’s activity corner and a hot chocolate station.

If you are interested in displaying your nativity set or would like to perform, call Lisa Lewis at 719-428-8623.

Hours are noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5851 Eisenhower Ave., Great Bend.
