Kurtis and Debbie (Klausmeyer) Koch will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Aug. 2. They were united in marriage on Aug. 2, 1975 at St. Mary’s Church Aleppo near Garden Plain.

Kurtis and Debbie are both retired band directors, but still work part-time for the Great Bend Recreation Commission. The couple has two sons, Nathan (Kenneth) Pyle of Lincoln, Neb., and Matthew (Amber) of Larned. They have been blessed with four grandchildren. 

A family vacation will help them commemorate the occasion.
