The Barton County Association of Churches’ Lenten Luncheon series continues on Wednesday, March 4, at First Presbyterian Church, 2400 Washington St., with First Congregational United Church of Christ and St. John’s Episcopal Church. A light lunch will be served at noon, followed by a brief devotional. This week’s message will be delivered by the Rev. Katie Sharp. Freewill offerings will be accepted with proceeds going to help the needy in our community. The schedule of upcoming lunches is March 11, Central Baptist Church; March 18, First Christian Church; March 25, Trinity Lutheran Church; and April 1, Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose. The public is invited to attend these ecumenical services throughout the Lenten season. For those who cannot attend, the meetings will be live-streamed on the Barton County Association of Churches Facebook Page.
