Student Library Assistant Emma Clemons will be focusing on different seniors throughout the year to spotlight, and this will be featured in our Check It Out column. Today’s Senior Spotlights are Zachary Siefers and Mathew Menges.

Zachary Siefers is a senior at EHS. His family members are Mark and Terri Siefers. His favorite book that he would recommend is “Percy Jackson.” His favorite quote is, “You were the chosen one! It was said that you were to destroy the sith, not join them,” - Obi-Wan Kenobi. Zachary’s favorite teacher is Mr. Ensz because he always helps him with his Ag projects and his classes are fun. 

Zachary’s plan after graduation is to work in the summer, then go to NCK Tech for Welding. Zachary’s advice for incoming students is do not procrastinate your work until the last minute.

Mathew Menges is a senior at EHS. 

His favorite book that he would recommend is “Maggot Moon” because it is the most recent book he has read that has captivated him with its mystery from start to finish. His favorite quote is, “You don’t have to be insane to kill, you just have to think you’re right.” - Yoko Taro.

Mathew’s favorite class is his Senior class of 2025 because they have largely taught him on what not to do when it comes to staying on the teacher’s good side. Mathew is involved in Band, NHS, and FFA. Mathew’s plan after graduation is to go to college for a career in computers, so he’ll go wherever he can for a good computer science course. 

We wish Mathew a great year in his senior chapter!
