Two Quilts of Valor awarded Sept. 26
Brendan Kuhn quilt 2025
United States Army veteran, Specialist Brendan Kuhn, was awarded a Quilt of Valor from Golden Plains Quilts of Valor on Sept. 26, 2025, at the American Legion Post 180 in Great Bend. Kuhn served from 2007 to 2011. The quilt top was made by Margaret Evers, quilting by Amy Schartz Mellor. Terry Turner quilt 2025
United States Army veteran, First Lieutenant Terry Turner, was awarded a Quilt of Valor from Golden Plains Quilts of Valor on Sept. 26, 2025, at the American Legion Post 180 in Great Bend. Turner served from 1953 to 1962. The quilt top was made by Judy Burnette, quilting by Amy Schartz Mellor.
