The Ellinwood School/Community Library and Ellinwood High School are proud to partner with the United Way of Central Kansas to promote a love of reading and meaningful learning for all ages in our community.
Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, children ages 0–5 are eligible to receive a free book every month — delivered right to their homes! In June alone, 883 books were delivered across Barton and Pawnee Counties. It’s a fast, free, and easy way to spark a lifelong love of reading. Visit the library and Amy will help you sign up today!
In addition, Ellinwood High School has been awarded a United Way Impact Grant to provide families with the book “Games of Deception” by Andrew Maraniss. This project ties directly into the upcoming “Americans and the Holocaust” exhibit at the library, offering students and families a powerful opportunity to explore important themes in history and engage in thoughtful discussion together.
From our youngest readers to high school families, we’re building a stronger, more connected community through books and shared stories.
