Barton Community College will host a hands-on “Cyber Summer Camp” for incoming sixth through eighth grade students from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 17-18 on the Barton campus.
The two-day camp will introduce students to the exciting world of cybersecurity through interactive activities designed to spark curiosity and build digital problem-solving skills. Campers will decode messages with cipher disks, experiment with a “Pringles Enigma” inspired by World War II code machines, send Morse code using microbits, experience the Softwarfare Cyber Range, and compete in beginner-friendly Capture the Flag (CTF) challenges.
The camp is being offered as part of a grant, in partnership with Softwarfare and Enterprise KC.
The registration deadline is May 29. To register, call (620)786-1108.
