Will Rupe, left, and Isis Newingham of Central Plains Junior High participated in the Northwest Kansas Music Educators Association Junior High District Band on Nov. 8. They spent the morning rehearsing at Norton Community High School and had a 3:30 p.m. performance along with the High School District Jazz Band and the Junior High District Choir. Erik Stone, director of Bands and Vocal Music at Gordon Parks Academy in Wichita was their director for the day.
