Two Stafford County High School seniors were honored at the May meeting of the Kanza Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Essays on “Our American Heritage and Our Responsibility For Preserving It” were submitted, judged and read by the entrants who placed first and second in the 2024 chapter contest.
Aiden Katz Macksville High School, the 1st place winner, was awarded the Chapter college scholarship. James Oleson, Stafford High, placed second. Both winners were given a DAR Good Citizen pin by Alda Hildebrand, Good Citizens committee chair.
Attending were mothers of the winners, Stafford High School Principal Katie Minks Student Success Coordinator Theresa Lowther and Kanza chapter members.
