Ellinwood council to review structures, benefits Tuesday

The Ellinwood City Council is set to review the condition of two properties, as well as an easement on another city street, when the council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Ellinwood City Office.

The council will review the condition of properties at 101 N. Main as well as a public hearing for a property at 307 W. 2nd. They will also discuss an easement agreement for placement of a drainage ditch in the 500 block of S. Kennedy.

Also, Ellinwood Mayor Irlan Fullbright will appoint a new fire chief to replace current chief Chris Komarek, who is set to retire from the position on Sept. 15.

Also on the agenda, the council will discuss renewal of the city’s health insurance and Cafeteria plans. They will also continue discussions on the progress of a moderate-income housing grant application the council approved at its Aug. 10 meeting. The council will also discuss a project proposal to improve the city’s welcome sign east of town on U.S. 56.
