The City of Great Bend and Great Bend Public Library will display and share an America 250 cake on Friday, July 3, to celebrate Independence Day. Sen. Tory Marie Blew (R-Great Bend) will speak.

The cake, by Kat King of Flavored Creations, will be displayed at the library, 1409 Williams St., starting at 11 a.m. and the cake-cutting ceremony and speech will begin at 12:30 p.m.

The annual Great Bend Community Fireworks Show will be Friday night at the Great Bend Expo Complex. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. for this free show.
