Now that the Great Bend City Council has expressed willingness to rent part of the Front Door Community Center to Great Bend USD 428, the possibility is up for discussion at the July 14 school board meeting.
The USD 428 Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. Monday at the District Education Center, 1809 24th St. The board will discuss potential relocation options for the Parent-Teacher Resource Center (including the Front Door option) if the board wants to demolish the old Washington School building.
Other new business on the agenda is a change order for the Great Bend Middle School HVAC boiler replacement project and the purchase of lunch tables for Eisenhower and Riley elementary schools.
Board appointments, designations, and organizational procedures for the new fiscal year will be approved. New and revised policies that were first presented at the June 9 board meeting will be ready for approval.
An executive session to discuss the annual superintendent’s evaluation is on the agenda.
