ST. JOHN — These are the unapproved minutes from the Stafford County Board of County Commissioner meeting.

The Stafford County Board of County Commissioners met on Wednesday, Nov. 13, in the Commission Room in the Annex. Commissioner Wycoff called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. Present: Todd Wycoff, Jim Stanford, and Bryce Garner.

The board convened as the County Election Board of Canvass. Thirty-four provisional ballots were reviewed with 24 being accepted and 10 rejected. Commissioner Garner moved, and Commissioner Stanford seconded, to approve the

Commissioner Garner moved, and Commissioner Stanford seconded, to recess to executive session for 10 minutes pursuant to the non-elected personnel exception to discuss non-elected personnel. In at 8:50 a.m. Out at 9 a.m.

Commissioner Garner moved, and Commissioner Stanford seconded to approve the minutes of the Oct. 6th meeting. Motion carried 3-0.

Commissioner Garner moved, and Commissioner Stanford seconded, to approve the tax roll correction. Motion carried 3-0.

Mike Robinson discussed details regarding the tax sale to be held Wednesday, Nov. 20.

Commissioner Garner moved, and Commissioner Stanford seconded, to reimburse ordinary labor cost I the General Fund for February and March 2024 utilizing ARPA and LATCF funds, limited to a total of $130,891. Motion carried 3-0.

Carl Wettstein, Stafford Police Chief, met with the commissioners regarding the K-9 in Stafford. He discussed statistics to date regarding the use of the K-9. The dog will be utilized throughout the county, and they will assist outside counties if requested. He explained that the initial expected funding fell short and is looking for possible additional assistance.

During the meeting, Accounts Payable vouchers and checks were reviewed and signed from the following funds:

Solid Waste - $4,088.72

TOTAL - $76,494.45
