Three arrested on drug charges Tuesday

The Great Bend Police Department executed a search warrant for illegal narcotics at 7:47 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Chestnut St.  Police Chief Steven Haulmark issued a news release on Thursday, reporting three men were apprehended and arrested after officers made entry. They are Phillip Ramey, 36; Israel Klein, 39; and Alex Tate, 33.

“During a search of the residence, detectives located methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia,” the news release stated.

Ramey was transported to the Barton County Jail and booked on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal carrying of a weapon, and no drug tax stamp, with bond set at $10,000.

Klein was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and no drug tax stamp, and was booked in lieu of $10,000 bond.

Tate was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, no drug tax stamp, and aggravated child endangerment. Tate was booked in lieu of $10,000 bond. A child located at the residence and taken into police protective custody on scene.
