Tree removal will briefly shut down a section of McKinley St.

A section of McKinley Street from Forest to Broadway will be closed on Friday, Oct. 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. as a precaution for drivers. MyLawn! Turf and Tree will conduct a large tree removal at the practice of Dr. Donald Beahm, ophthalmologist.

Located on the east side of McKinley, the tree’s extensive growth has created potential safety hazards prompting its need for removal.

Barricades will be placed around the area to aid detoured traffic. Northbound travelers will be redirected to Forest to Roosevelt, while southbound traffic is circumnavigated to Taft to Lakin. Lights will be placed in flashing mode if southbound traffic needs to turn east on to Broadway.

For questions regarding the removal, contact Jeremy Elliott of MyLawn! Turf and Tree at 620-282-2076.
