A Great Bend man and woman were apprehended on suspicion of robbery following a weekend incident in the community. Great Bend Police Chief Steve Haulmark reported that at approximately 8:54 p.m. on Jan. 23, GBPD officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Jefferson Street in reference to a robbery report. Upon arrival, officers were informed by the victim that Juan Prieto, 31, and Trinity Galliart, 30, had used physical force to steal money from him. The victim also reported that Prieto and Galliart had left the scene in a white truck.
A short time later, officers located the suspect vehicle as well as both suspects at a residence in the 2400 block of Cheyenne Drive. As a result of the investigation, both Prieto and Galliart were arrested for robbery and transported to Barton County Jail, where they were booked in lieu of bond.
