Great Bend Fire Department

Someone reported smoke coming from a vehicle at 4:07 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Pine Street. There was no fire; it was just overheated.

Emergency Medical Service made five ambulance runs on Friday, four on Saturday and 10 on Sunday.


Great Bend Police

Marijuana was found on the ground outside a 10th Street business on Friday morning. It was booked into evidence.

Unlawful use of a credit card at Hejny Liquor, On the Rocks Liquor, Vapor 100 and McDonald’s was reported Friday afternoon. It was also used on a cash app.

A non-injury accident was reported at 2:05 p.m. at 2538 10th St.

A battery that allegedly occurred earlier in the day was reported Friday evening at 5501 9th St. Lot 40.

An assault and battery was reported at 10:24 p.m. at 1447 17th St.

Officers assisted the Barton County Sheriff’s Office at 2:06 a.m. Saturday with a DUI and sex offense reported at Dog House Bar, 201 McArther Blvd. SW sector.

Police responded to a report of a narcotics violation at 4:48 a.m. in the 2400 block of Walnut Dr.

A non-injury accident was reported at 6:11 p.m. at 1919 Heizer St.

A juvenile was arrested on a Ford County warrant at 9:48 p.m. in the 800 block of Grant Street.

A narcotics search warrant was executed at 11:49 p.m. Saturday at 1121 Baker Ave.

A non-injury accident was reported at 8:36 a.m. Sunday at 10th and Pine.

A ring was found at Brit Spaugh Park and returned to the owner.

K-9 Neo was used for a free air sniff at a traffic stop at 12:14 a.m. Monday in the 1000 block of Jefferson St. A suspect was arrested for possession of meth.

A non-injury accident was reported at 2:49 p.m. Friday at NW 20 Ave. and NW 50 Road, Great Bend.

A theft was reported at 7:46 p.m. at 1642 North U.S. 281, Hoisington.

A fight was reported at 11:34 p.m. in the 100 block of 7th St. in Claflin.

A sex offense was reported at 2:01 a.m. Saturday at the Dog House Bar, 201 McArthur Blvd., SW sector, Great Bend.
