Great Bend Fire/EMS
Emergency Medical Service responded to five calls on Wednesday, Dec. 11, four on Thursday, one on Friday, five on Saturday and six on Sunday.
There was a report of a fire at 9:28 a.m. Wednesday in the 3100 block of 10th Street. No active fire was found.
EMS performed a standby for a rodeo on Saturday.
At 4:20 p.m. on Sunday, there was a report of a fire in the engine bay of a truck parked on the street at 1425 Broadway. It was put out. There was also a report of a gas smell in the 26 block of 12th Street, and officers checked on a small fire in a fire pit in the 3000 block of Broadway at 1:48 p.m.

A fight was reported at 12:38 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at Charlie’s Place, 1109 Main. John Wallace was arrested for interference with a law enforcement officer. Barton County Sheriff’s Office also responded.
Criminal use of a financial card was reported at Zip Stop No. 3 - The Max, 3620 10th St.
A non-injury crash was reported at 2:10 p.m. at Walmart.
Theft of a gun was reported at Animal Medical Center, 622 McKinley St.
A non-injury crash was reported at 5:26 p.m. in the 3200 block of Broadway.
A subject reportedly left Bomgaars, 5320 10th St., without paying for items.
An officer located Logan Jacobs per Rice County’s request at 1:17 a.m. Saturday in rural Ellinwood. He was transported to the Rice County line and released to Rice County; a case was taken.
A domestic disturbance was reported at 1:55 a.m. Saturday in the 700 block of Morphy Street, Great Bend. Zachary Ortiz was arrested. (See story here.)
A non-injury crash was reported at 3:13 p.m. Sunday at 10th and Kansas.
A non-injury crash was reported at 4:48 a.m. Monday at Autozone, 2219 10th St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:57 a.m. Friday at NW 70 Road and North U.S. 281.
A non-injury crash was reported at 6:44 p.m. at NE 80 Road and North U.S. 281.
A possible narcotics violation was reported at 10:50 p.m. in the 900 block of Morphy.
A possible narcotics violation was reported at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the 80 block of South U.S. 281.
A fight was reported at 1:54 a.m. Sunday at the Dog House Bar, 5609 Oil Center Road.
A possible narcotics violation was reported at 7:43 p.m. at 2nd and North Main in Hoisington, where BCSO provided assistance to another agency.
