Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service had seven calls on Dec. 5, three on Dec. 6, 11 on Dec. 7, eight on Dec. 8 and seven on Dec. 9.

On Dec. 5 there was a report of smoke but nothing was found. There was a false alarm on Dec. 7.


Great Bend Police

Dec. 8

A license plate was lost or stolen in the 1100 block of Morton St. Kansas tag 6823ANKY was entered into the NCIC database.

A vehicle at Riley Elementary School, 1515 10th St., was repossessed around 9:32 a.m.

Criminal damage was reported to the sign in front of the First United Methodist Church on Forest Ave. at 10:36 a.m.

A purse and items were stolen from a vehicle at 1204 Warner Road.

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:20 p.m. at 10th and Harrison.

A theft was reported at 8:15 p.m. at Walmart.


Dec. 9

Isabella Stanley was arrested on a Barton County warrant at 1:34 a.m. at Lakin Ave. and Main Street.

A narcotics search warrant was executed at 2:16 a.m. at 323 Frey St., with a warrant arrest. Another search warrant was executed there at 6:08 a.m.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:51 a.m. at 24th St. and Prairie Rose Dr.

A burglary was reported at 1210 Harrison St. Items were stolen from the garage.

A non-injury crash was reported at Great Bend High School, 2027 Morton St., at 2:15 p.m.

A non-injury crash was reported at Heart of Kansas Family Health, 1905 19th St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 4:12 p.m. in the 2900 block of Broadway Ave. (Broadway and Monroe). Driver William T. Petropulos was eastbound on Broadway when his vehicle struck a tree. He then left the scene but was later located and arrested for Driving Under the Influence and failure to report a non-injury accident. He posted a $1,000 surety bond.

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:56 p.m. at 3006 24th St. when an eastbound vehicle struck a legally parked vehicle.


Barton County Sheriff

Dec. 8

A non-injury crash was reported at 8:49 p.m. on NE K-156 at mile marker 141, Claflin.


Dec. 9

Barton County Sheriff’s Office assisted with a warrant arrest and search warrant starting at 2:25 a.m. and continuing at 6:08 a.m. at 323 Frey St.

A theft was reported at 3:27 p.m. at 222 N. Washington Ave., Great Bend.

A pursuit was reported at 11:33 p.m. from Ellinwood.
