A fatal vehicular crash was reported at 5:16 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, when a pickup hit a motorcycle at Ninth and Kansas in Great Bend. The Great Bend Police Department issued the following information.
Upon officers’ arrival, they located a black 2018 Suzuki GSX-R750 that had been driven by Nathaniel Larkin, age 25, and a white 2015 Ford F-150 that had been driven by Oscar Munoz, age 51. Officers determined that Larkin was traveling southbound in the 900 block of Kansas and struck the Munoz vehicle, which was traveling westbound at 9th and Kansas. Larkin was transported by the Great Bend EMS to the University of Kansas Medical Center - Great Bend Campus, where he succumbed to his injuries. Munoz was arrested for involuntary manslaughter, driving under the influence, and no driver’s license. Munoz was transported to the Barton County Detention Center, where he was booked in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
