LYONS — On April 8, the Rice County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 400 block of North Grand Avenue in Lyons. According to a news release, during the search, deputies located and seized methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Clayton Hines was taken into custody and is being held on charges including possession of stimulants, possession of drug paraphernalia, and distribution of stimulants. As of Thursday, he was being held on a $100,000 bond.
Sheriff Nick Sowers stated, “We’ve heard from members of our community about the impact illegal drugs are having, and we’re working to address those concerns. Our goal is to listen, take appropriate action, and hold individuals accountable while continuing to serve Rice County with professionalism.”
This case remains under investigation.
