Great Bend Police Chief Steve Haulmark said a woman was arrested Tuesday evening after a traffic stop led to her arrest on drug charges.
According to the report, at approximately 5:16 p.m. on April 30 a GBPD officer initiated a traffic stop in the 2600 block of 16th St. for an equipment violation.
“During the traffic stop, Great Bend Police Department K9 Niko was utilized for a free air sniff. K9 Niko alerted to the odor of illegal narcotics inside the vehicle and a search was conducted. As a result of the search, a white crystal like substance was located. This substance tested positive for methamphetamine.”
The driver, Tia Lelley, ages 58, was arrested and transported to the Barton County Jail where she was booked in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
