Two vehicles collide in Stafford County
KHP patch

A truck driver was taken to the hospital Monday morning in a two-vehicle collision in Stafford County and the other driver complained of pain. Injuries appeared to be minor, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at 9:18 a.m. on U.S. 50 at Southeast 30th Ave. A 2017 Jeep Renegade driven by Hayler Volker, 29, St. John, was traveling north on Southeast 30th Ave. and failed to stop at the stop sign. It struck the passenger side door of a 2026 Freightliner pulling a trailer and driven by Jonathan Andrade, 58, from Benton, Kentucky.

Volker had a possible injury as she said she was in pain, but there was no report of her being transported. Her 4-year-old passenger was not injured.

Andrade was taken to the Stafford County Hospital. Everyone involved was wearing safety restraints.
