A woman was taken to Clara Barton Medical Center after the vehicle she was driving went off of a Russell County road on Friday, Jan. 31, and struck a power pole. Kansas Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred at 1:03 p.m. in the 18900 block of 4 Corners Road, or 4.4 miles east of U.S. 281. Kaylee M. Kuhlmann, 36, of Russell, was driving a 2022 Jeep Compass that, for an unknown reason, crossed the center line over the eastbound lane and went off the road to the left. After the Jeep struck a power pole it came to rest in a field. Her injuries were believed to be minor. Kuhlmann was wearing a seat belt.
