LARNED — Becky Sue Carter, 71, passed away on Jan. 10, 2025 at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned, Kan. She was born on May 30, 1953 at Central City, Neb., the daughter of Dean and Carmel Lee (Johnson) Carter. She was a longtime resident of Larned, and was the Activity Therapist at the Youth Center of Larned for 41 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ, St. John, Kan., and the Women’s Golf League at the Larned Country Club. Becky was an avid softball player, golfer, and bowler, she also loved hunting and fishing.
Survivors include two brothers, Dennis “Denny” Carter, Moundridge, Kan., Kevin (Jeannine) Carter, Dodge City, Kan.; five nieces Zoey Carter, Aliya Carter, Terri Galley, Jennifer Goebel, and Julie Feldkamp; and two nephews, Craig Goebel, and Zeboriah Carter. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Randall “Randy” Dean Carter.
Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, at the Church of Christ, St. John, Kan., with Zeboriah Carter officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John, Kan. Memorials may be given to the Pawnee County Relay for Life or the donor’s choice in care of Minnis Chapel, Box 34, St. John, KS 67576.
