HOISINGTON — Brian Patrick White, 58, passed away May 1, 2025, at his home at rural Hoisington, Kan. He was born June 25, 1966, in Rosieres-en-Haye, France, to Jimmy and Joyce (Prosser) White.
Brian, a longtime Hoisington resident, was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard, faithfully serving his country and earning the rank of PV 2. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Hoisington, and enjoyed Bingo, playing the lottery, and all the elements of the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping. Above all he enjoyed time spent with his kids and grandkids, and was known to be very selfless, dropping everything to lend a hand to anyone in need.
He is survived by three sons, Zach White and wife Jordan of Holyrood, Kan., Nathan White and wife Jaclyn of Ellinwood, Kan., and Isaac White and wife Brogan of Claflin, Kan.; one daughter, Nicole White Williams and husband Richard of Ellsworth, Kan.; one brother, Blaine White and wife Jennifer of Omaha, Ark.; one sister, Jina Arellano and husband Joe of Garden City, Kan.; and six grandchildren, Landon White, Brooklyn White, Cameron White, Ryder White, Koby White and Davanee White; five nieces and four nephews. He was preceded in passing by his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2025, St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Hoisington, with Father Warren Stecklein presiding. Inurnment will follow at St. John Church Cemetery, Hoisington with Army National Guard Honors. Rosary services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
