Charlotte Janice Schmidt, 95, passed away on Jan. 22, 2025, surrounded by family at River Bend Assisted Living, Great Bend, Kan. She was born on Jan. 23, 1929, in Pawnee Rock, Kan., to Ellis and Mabel (Bowman) Flick. In March 1948, Janice married Earl Schmidt in Pawnee Rock, Kan.; he passed on Aug. 16, 2024. 

She is survived by children, Michael Schmidt, Dennis Schmidt, and Brenda Girard; and numerous other family members and loved ones.

Interment has taken place. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025, at First United Methodist Church, 2123 Forest Ave., Great Bend, with Pastor Robert Selvakumar presiding. Memorials have been designated to Pawnee Rock Depot or First United Methodist Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
