Claire Quintos Krug

Claire Quintos Krug, 46, passed away at her home in Great Bend, Kan. on July 31st, 2025 at 8:40 p.m. after various treatments for the dreaded disease she had been diagnosed with at the beginning of this year turned out to be in vain. Her husband Markus J. Krug took care of her throughout this trying time and especially during her last days on earth. She was born on the 17th of February, 1979 in Midsayap, N. Coatabato Privince, Island of Mindanao, Philippines to Rijo Arca Quintos and his wife Florencita Antonio Jimenea. Markus and Claire met on Oct. 28, 2016 and got married on July 28, 2018 in Racine, Wisc.

They moved from the US Virgin Island of St. Croix to Great Bend on Aug. 10, 2024. After completing High School Claire obtained a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of the Philippines (Ilo Ilo) in 2002 and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree (IT Web Software Development) from the Gateway Technical College in Racine, Wisc. in 2022. She worked for various Philippine Governmental Agencies as Legal-, Administrative- and Legislative Assistant from 2002 to 2018. She became a naturalized Citizen of the United States of America last year. From October 2024 until she had to resign her position due to her failing health in January she worked for the United States Postal Service as Postmaster Relief in Olmitz and as Part Time Flexible Window- and Distribution Clerk at the Ellinwood Post Office. She loved her family, animals, especially cats, gardening and was deeply enrooted in her Catholic Faith which prevented her from getting lost in depression and desperation.

Apart from her husband Markus Krug survivors include her mother Florencita; her brother Jay Quintos, and her nephews Jude and Ace (Emanuel) of Midsayap (Philippines); her Aunt Lulu Heyrana of Virginia; and many friends and members of her extended family. She is preceded in death by her Father Rijo Arca Quintos. Her guilelessness and her kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

May Our Lord Jesus Christ remember Claire and receive her with open arms into His Kingdom. May she rest there in peace forever.
