David Penfield Collins, 70, passed away Nov. 3, 2025, at Azria Health Woodhaven in Great Bend, Kan. He was born Nov. 5, 1954, in Oakland, Calif. to Penfield David and Janet Emily (Reed) Collins. 

David was extremely loved by all his staff and roommates at ResCare. He had a love for humming to music. He lit up with hugs, smiling, and laughing with his close friends and family. He loved going on adventures and various activities with his roommates and staff. He was truly a joy to be around. 

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, at Great Bend Cemetery North with Pastor Daniel Vandenburg presiding. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025 at Bryant Funeral Home.
