HUTCHINSON — Donald ‘Donnie’ Eugene Beeler, 61, passed away March 29, 2026, in Hutchinson, Kan. He was born Sept. 29, 1964, in Great Bend, to Kenneth Beeler and Karen (Ward) Spears.
Donnie attended Great Bend High School. Upon graduating, he joined the U.S. Army for two years in 1985, at Fort Leonardwood, Mo. He stayed active with the National Guard. He attended college in Pittsburg, Kan., for diesel mechanic. He worked, for a time, as an electrician. He resided for years in Joplin, Mo., as an owner and operator of HVAC sales and repair. He found peace in the comfort of being with his beloved canine, Pepper.
Survivors include sons, Brad Beeler of Grove, Okla., Shane Beeler of Joplin, Mo.; daughter, Kayla Tillman of Greeley, Colo.; sister, Angela Kay Akins of Hutchinson; brothers, Duane Spears of Ind., Tracey Spears of Great Bend; seven grandchildren; six nephews; four nieces; and aunt, Mildred Dills of Hutchinson.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 6, 2026, at Great Bend Cemetery North with Pastor Nathan Karriker presiding. Memorials may be made out to Golden Belt Humane Society or American Heart Association, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
