LYONS — Donna Marie Fiedler, 71, passed away on March 24, 2025, at Prairie Sunset Home in Pretty Prairie, Kan., just 3 days shy of her 72nd birthday. Donna was born March 27, 1953, in Ellinwood, Kan., the first born of Dennis L. and Eleanor (Demel) Fiedler.  

Donna attended St. Mary’s School in Chase, Kan., Chase Grade school and graduated from Chase High School with the class of 1971. Donna attended Barton County Junior College, Brown-Mackie School of Business, Hutchinson Community Junior College and Cranford School of Business in Hutchinson.

Donna married Jackie Bounds on Sept. 13, 1973, in Salina, Kan. To this union, two daughters were born, Tepring M. Bounds and Dawn Christina Bounds. Jackie passed away on May 13th, 2012.

Donna was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Hutchinson where she enjoyed singing in the church choir. 

Donna enjoyed doing ceramics, crocheting and painting.

Donna is survived by her two daughters, Tepring M. Loveland of Sonora, Ark., and Dawn Fletcher of Lincoln, Ark.; eight grandchildren, Taryn Loveland of Abilene, Kan., Jesse Loveland of Cummins, Ark., Paige Walek of Argonia, Kan., Zach Walek of Hutchinson, Kan., Gracelyn Walek and Samual Walek of Beavershead, N.Y., Dalton Edwards of Springfield, Ohio, and Haley Edwards of Lincoln, Ark.; five great-grandchildren, Michelle Loveland of Beavershead, N.Y., Michael Connor Jr., CJ Conner, Billy Conner, and EllIanne Conner all of Abilene, Kan. Donna is also survived by six siblings, Richard (Diane) Fiedler of Salina, Kan., Gerald Fiedler of Ponca City, Okla., Susan Mazouch of Great Bend, Kan., Karen Pierce of Wichita, Kan., Rosemary Reynolds of Las Vegas, Nev., and Eileen Ballantine of Hutchinson, Kan.; three nephews, Mark Fiedler of Derby, Kan., Nicholas Mazouch of Lindsborg, Kan., Casey Ballentine of Hutchinson, Kan.; four nieces, Michelle George of Salina, Kan., Sara Delgadillo of Great Bend, Kan., Diana Dixon of Gautier, Miss., and Rebecca Barnard of Pittsburgh, Pa. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jackie Bounds; sister, Roberta Fiedler; sister-in-law, Jan M. Fiedler; two brothers-in-law, Dennis Mazouch, and Glen Reynolds; son-in-law, Tony Loveland; and niece, Laura Mazouch.        

Funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 29, 2025, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Lyons, with Father Michael Brungardt officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2025, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. Private family burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Chase. Memorials may be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital, Traditions Home Health, or Prairie Sunset Home of Pretty Prairie, KS in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
