LARNED — Eddy R. Miller, 80, passed away November 26, 2025 at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned.

He was born January 4, 1945 in Lyons, the son of Marion and Dorothy Stroh Miller. A longtime area resident; Eddy was the Dillons store manager, where he retired from after 41 years to be a caregiver for his daughter Shelley and later for his wife Carol. Most recently he managed Buff Car Wash in Larned.

He attended Valley Community Church, Larned. Loved the Chiefs, enjoyed going to football games, fishing and attending his grandchildren’s activities.

On August 15, 1965 he married Carol Ann White in Alden, Kansas. She passed away September 10, 2013.

Survivors include; his daughter, Sharon (Ernie) Boswell, Larned; two brothers, Bob Miller, Great Bend and Larry Miller, El Dorado; five grandchildren, Chandler (Kylee) Greathouse, Keaton Boswell, Khloe Boswell, Ernie (Mindy) Boswell III and Aaron (Stacy) Boswell, and two great grandchildren, Brooklynn Boswell and Brayden Boswell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carol Miller; a daughter, Shelley Miller; and his grandson, Trevor Greathouse. 

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Valley Community Church, Larned with Pastor Ryan Webster and Jarred Smith presiding. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2025 with family present from 6-8 p.m. at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in Larned Cemetery, Larned, Kansas.
