NESS CITY — Franklin G. Foos, 94, passed away on June 3, 2023, at the Cedar Village Care Center in Ness City, Kan. He was born on March 27, 1929, on the farm near Bazine, Kan., the son of Ferdinand and Mary (Reichel) Foos.

He was a lifetime resident of Ness County where he worked as a farmer and stockman. Franklin was a member of the Bazine Methodist Church, the Bazine Coop, and a former member of the Bazine Lions Club and Bazine School Board. He was very active in the community and supported many local events.  Franklin enjoyed coyote hunting with his buddies and attending school events for his grandchildren. On April 23, 1949, he married Jeanette (Brack) in Bazine, Kan.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Foos; three sons, Gary Foos (Linda) of Ness City, Eric Foos (Becky) of Brownell, and  Craig Foos (Tammi) of Bazine; one daughter, Brenda Schuler (Rod) of Lyons; one sister, Evelyn Beltz of Ness City; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruth Bowman; two brothers-in-law, John Bowman and Sidney Beltz; and one nephew, Ricky Beltz.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, 10:30 a.m. at the Bazine Methodist Church, Bazine, Kan. Burial in the Bazine Cemetery. Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home on June 6, 2023, from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 - 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Legion Olin Cole Post # 392, or the Bazine Methodist Church.
