HUTCHINSON — Jean Augusta “Gusty” Smith, 48, died March 25, 2025, at her home in Hutchinson. She was born on May 26, 1976, in Dodge City, to John Gill Smith and Shannon Marie Helfrich. 

Parish Rosary will be 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2025, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 211 E. 5th Ave., Hutchinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at St. Teresa Catholic Church. Friends may call Monday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at St. Teresa Catholic Church. Private family burial will be in Great Bend City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Salthawk Community Support or Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
