HOISINGTON — Leonard Dale Ehrlich, 92, died July 10, 2025, at Medicalodges, Great Bend, Kan. He was born Sept. 24, 1932, in northern Barton County, Kan., the son of Manuel and Alma (Miller) Ehrlich.
A lifetime Barton County resident, Leonard was born and raised in Northern Barton County where he farmed until moving to Hoisington in 1981. He worked as an equipment operator in the public works department of the City of Hoisington from 1982 until his retirement in 1997. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles since 1950.
On June 2, 1952, he married Margaret A. Connor at the St. John Catholic Church in Hoisington. She preceded him in death on Aug. 5, 2017.
Survivors include daughter, Debbie Adams and husband Terry of Council Grove; sister, Irene Jacobs of Great Bend; grandchildren, Kim Elliott and husband Jeremy, and Eric Swalley and wife Staci; great grandchildren, Keaton, Quinton, and Azha Elliott, Gavin, Kohin and Sorin Swalley; step grandchildren, Chris Blackledge and wife Jamie, Dan Adams and wife Kesha, Jessie Campbell, wife of Justen; step great grandchildren, Jeth, Hunter, and Ashton Campbell, Johnny Campbell, Cooper and Lillie Blackledge, Ashton, Danica, Zayden and Maylea Adams. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret; brother, Roland Ehrlich; sister, Gladys Nettleingham; and a step grandson, Justen Campbell.
Friends may sign the book now until service at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, with Pastor Sam Ryan presiding.
