Meleah Kay Frazer

Meleah Kay Frazer, 68, won her battle against cancer on Oct. 30, 2025, at St. Luke Living Center in Marion, Kan. She was born March 12, 1957, in Great Bend to Woodrow and Gladys (McMullen) Woodrow. She married James “Jim” Frazer on May 31, 1980, in Great Bend. He saved her a seat in heaven on Aug. 5, 1991.

Meleah received an associate’s degree in marketing from Pratt Community College. She worked for UMB, People’s Bank, and settled at Community Bank of the Midwest as a teller and banker for many years until her retirement in 2022. Meleah had a strong faith that carried her through life. She emanated God’s love to everyone she encountered. She found a church family at First United Methodist Church and served wherever she could. She loved adventures and to travel with friends and family to see God’s creations and make everlasting memories. Meleah was such a warmth to be around and always had a smile. Her daughters were her world and her greatest legacy.

Survivors include her treasured daughters, Alisha Farmer of Derby, Jenna Fanshier and her husband Ben of Marion; grandchildren, Weston Fanshier and Grayson Fanshier; mother-in-law and friend, Carol Frazer; many friends and church family. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband; brothers, Gary Woodrow and Michael Woodrow; and father-in-law, Paul Frazer.

Cremation has taken place, and memorial services are planned for 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at Bryant Funeral Home with Chaplain Bob Phipps presiding. Inurnment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt, at noon. Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to Victory in the Valley or Wichita Cancer Center, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
