Ralph Ross ‘Bubba’ Tuey Jr.

Ralph Ross ‘Bubba’ Tuey, Jr., 52, passed away March 31, 2026, in Great Bend, Kan. He was born July 10, 1973, in St. Joseph, Mo., to Ralph Roscoe, Sr. and Linda (Woodard) Tuey.

Ross, a longtime resident of the Great Bend and Chase areas, was a 1992 Chase High School graduate, later pursuing higher education from Emporia State University. He excelled at mechanics, applying his skills as an ASE certified diesel mechanic, driller, derrick hand, and farmer. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and riding his dune buggy. Above all, he cherished time with his brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. All of them earning a clever endearing nickname from Uncle Bubba.

Survivors include three brothers, Chris Kelso (Shannon) of Great Bend, Joe Ray of Chase, and Ricky Ray of Great Bend; four sisters, Roxie Bowman of Stewartsville, Mo., Teresa Wilson of Great Bend, Darlene Case of Great Bend, Tammy Piland (Scotty) of Great Bend; three children; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Ralph Roscoe Tuey, Sr. and Linda Tuey Gilmore; and a sister, Dyanna Wilson.

Memorial services will be held 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, with Pastors Scott Murphy and Melinda Moore presiding.
