CLAFLIN — Sandra Elizabeth Titsworth Schneweis, age 81, of Claflin, Kan., passed away on March 8, 2026, at her home. She was born on Oct. 7, 1944, in Sayre, Okla., at Doxey School House Living Quarters, to Sanders P. Titsworth and Anna E. (Alexander) Titsworth.

Sandra moved to Great Bend, Kan., in 1959 and graduated from Great Bend High School in 1962. On May 4, 1963, she was united in marriage to Gerald J. ‘Jack’ Schneweis at St. Rose Catholic Church in Great Bend.

She is survived by her children, Melanie (Curt) Arbuckle, Brian (Lorevil) Schneweis, and Jason (Debbie) Schneweis; as well as her grandchildren, Jackson and Victoria Schneweis. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald ‘Jack’ Schneweis; and her 18 siblings.

Cremation has taken place. A private family ceremony was held, with burial at Harzman Cemetery in Barton County, Kan. Memorials may be designated to Cheyenne Township Cemetery Fund in care of Melanie Arbuckle.
