ELLINWOOD — Zelda L. Milner, 88, passed away on Oct. 23, 2021 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kan. Born on Oct. 11, 1933 to parents Theodore A. and Inza I. (Hawkins) Ward. Zelda grew up in Quincy, Kan. After high school she graduated from American Business College in Wichita and the Menninger Bible Class of Young Woman’s Christian Association in Topeka. She married Marion Milner on April 26, 1953 in Eureka, Kan. He died in 1973. A 60+ year resident of Ellinwood, she worked as a receptionist for Dr. Stone’s dentist office. Zelda was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ellinwood, its women’s group, and the BCCC Cougar Club. 

Survivors include son, Steve Milner, Las Vegas, Nev. and daughter, Sue Milner, Las Vegas, Nev.; and two grandchildren, Natalie Milner and Cristen Buckenroth. Zelda was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Ward and sister, Melba Fechter.

Graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. at Lakin-Comanche Cemetery on Monday, Nov. 1st with Pastor Tom Reazin officiating. Visitation will take place Saturday Oct. 30th at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. with family present from 4-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Church in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
