Cougars lose at Region 6 baseball tournament

SALINA — The Barton Cougars' impressive 42-12 record and Jayhawk West title vanished in a nightmarish 11-2 setback to Coffeyville at Tuesday's Region 6 baseball tournament.

Coffeyville scored in seven consecutive innings. The Cougars hit into a trio of double plays and yielded four home runs.

The Cougars must win six consecutive games to advance to the NJCAA Baseball World Series.
