BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – Former Larned resident Nathan Chlumsky, a Shihan and respected martial artist from Bartlesville, Okla. will be honored at the prestigious GOAT Martial Arts Awards recognizing martial arts instructors Aug. 14–16 at Pottsboro, Texas.
The event recognizes martial artists from around the world who have demonstrated skill, leadership, and lifelong commitment to the martial arts community. Honorees include 25 U.S. states, Canada, England, Germany, Ireland, Guyana, South Africa, Australia, and Israel.
Honorees were nominated by peers and selected by the Grand Masters Council for their lifetime of excellence, leadership, and embodiment of Kaizen, the Japanese principle of continuous improvement.
Chlumsky has trained in various martial arts disciplines for 33 years, having earned black belt rankings in several styles. He has written and published 12 books, been inducted into four categories in the Action Martial Arts Magazine Hall of Honors, and once into the Master Hall of Fame.
He was featured on the Thomas Rueter Billboard in New York City's Times Square for Strathmore Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Martial Arts and is a Battle of the Dragons World Martial Arts Champion in the 45-55 age category, to name a few of his accolades.
