Hoisington's outside hitter Sofia Simic was selected as 3A Player of the Year by the Kansas Volleyball Association coaches. Simic contributed 574 winners, 402 serves/115 aces, 291 digs, 283 serves received and 59 blocks Hoisington's Kelsi Maier earned second-team all-state volleyball honors. Maier recorded 527 serves/53 aces, 388 serves received, 324 digs, 308 winners, 291 digs and 31 blocks The Cardinals (38-7) placed fourth at the 3A state volleyball championship. Wichita Trinity edged the Cardinals 25-22, 15-25, 25-21 for third place. State champion Silver Lake downed Hoisington, 25-22, 26-24 in the semifinals.
