BELOIT 43, HOISINGTON 39 — Beloit's Hayden Nicholson hustled for a rebound and game-clinching free throws en route to a 43-39 non-league basketball victory over the Hoisington Cardinals.
The Cardinals (5-3) had a chance to force a tie when Truitt King missed his second free throw with a 41-39 lead. Nicholson converted both free throws to secure a 4-point lead.
Hoisington's Brody Pfannenstiel scored a career high 15 points and Mason Martin and Kobe Crawford each added nine points.

Hoisington's Kelsi Maier scored 16 points and Kinley Wilkens added 11 points, but the Cardinals' reliable perimeter shooters misfired all night.
Beloit guard Karlie Smith (16 points) and the inside tandem of Landry Litton (13) and Reagan Cheney (11) swung the momentum
